Introduction

The Leaps And Rounds newsletter is a free, bimonthly publication posted on the Tree Frog web site for parents, teachers and students interested in creative music and movement education. Each issue focuses on a specific music element (rhythm, melody, form, expression, timbre or texture) and contains updated information about workshops and classes as well as lesson plans and other tips for teachers.

Contents

Upcoming Events - a list of new workshops and classes taught by Kerri Lynn Nichols and other qualified instructors in the Northwest area.

New Releases - a list of new books and CD's released by Kerri-oke Publications.

Resource Review - new resources for music and movement educators are reviewed and rated according to the Three Frog Rating System.

Teacher Tips and Lesson Plan - tips for teachers and a lesson plan focusing on a musical concept.

Build Your Brain! - in each issue, one of the fundamental movement patterns is emphasized in a short activity geared to enhance brain development and function.

Once A Round - a new round for singing with your class, friends or family is included in each issue.
